Welcome to another Weekend Update on Synthetix. One thing becoming very evident is how hard the deciding line is becoming between releases getting their own dedicated post during the week or being included in the Weekend Update. I usually try to give the weekday posts to new artists, EPs and album releases, whereas singles/previews and remixes are covered on the Weekend Update. With the amount of quality music coming out that I'd like to cover it's becoming difficult as to how I'll cover everything.
But this is a wonderful problem to have, the scene's rich with talent at the moment and I want try to give every producer the chance to find an audience that appreciates their music.
One thing for sure, it's a great time to be a fan of 80s inspired synth music! Let's get rockin!
First off is superb preview for Dynatron's new EP release entitled Fireburner. This is due out September 8 and is sounding like it's going to be a grandiose spectacle of synthesized gold. The Dynatron sound is definitely rising to new levels from this preview, I'm greatly looking forward to the full experience.
LA Dreams is keeping his work rate as high as the standared of his writing and his new track Missing You is cementing his place in the upper echelons of the scene even further. It's becoming apparent to me that his Synth Romance tracks are his strongest sub-genre and Missing You proves this further.
The new song from Alloapm instantly grabbed my attention this week. The sounds in this track are beautifully constructed and the vocal track adds even more dimension to the experience. This avant garde track definitely has the soul of the 80s deep in it's heart. I hope Kingyo is a sign of sounds to come from Alloapm.
Jowie Schulner's music has been getting back to some classic 80s sounds recently, which is absolutely awesome in this man's eyes. His preview of the new track Klangk is a powerful and emotional piece that is begging to be fully realised in an extended format.
I've been a fan of Navigateur's experimental synth music for a while now, as I hope you are, and his latest release is the title track for his next album called 2020. This is so catchy it hurts, I love everything about this track and it's a wonderful hybrid of new and old sounds. The 2020 album is going to ROCK!
Professor Zonic Zynth's been hard at work in his laboratory creating new music and his piece Grace's Theme really does a magical job of creating a totally 80s atmosphere. This producer's work goes from strength to strength and I'm really hoping an album release is going to happen sometime soon.
Synthetix favourite Klockhaus has released his first EP through Purr Tapes on Bandcamp. This EP has a couple of new pieces as well as including some singles previously released, including the reference Brainchild. This has a limited edition cassette release so get on it while you can as they won't last long.
To finish off this Weekend Update we have Matt Creamer's new work. I find this very special as he's taken inspiration from an 80s TV commercial from Philips and written a track to go with the visuals. The end result is a sublime melding sound and vision in a manner I've not seen realised before. Exceptional music, and the perfect way to finish off another week on Synthetix.

Synthetix Weekend Update
I hope this week's Weekend Update on Synthetix finds you well and rockin the weekend hard, lets get right to it and keep the temperature sizzling!
Pilotpriest has release a magnificent new piece entitled Canyons, inspired by the upcoming Paul Schrader movie The Canyons. This is a sublime work of absolute quality. One of my favourite Pilotpriest ventures, it's thoroughly deep and mesmerizing.
Lost Years is keeping up his manic rate of production of superb synth sounds with his newest refinement of Breeze. This second version is cementing Lost Years' blending of italo synth and soundtrack synth in completely beautiful directions. This fine producer's work must be due for an album release some time soon, we can but hope.
DigitalNativeDance released a magnificently remixed version of Bikslow's Artanist. This has 80s love and power coursing through it's veins and makes for a totally high energy synthtacular experience. Very impressive work!
Continuing on the remixi theme we have had two brilliant remixes released of Lueur Verte's Night Slasher II. Both Perturbator and Arcade High have provided the reinterpretations and both are works monstrous magnitude. Perturbators dark synth stylings lend themselves well to the original's air of menace with rapid drum fills and thundering bassline terror. Arcade High brings in some kick arse video game drama to his remix and creates a new atmosphere of fear in the digital world. Both are must-hear!
Giallo Disco raconteur Vercetti Technicolor published another piece of horror synth work with L'incubo Senza Fine (Reprise). This genre is a thoroughly wondrous sub-genre of 80s inspired synth work and once again Vercetti Technicolor nails it, violently, into digital oblivion.
Dreaming Android Films has released the video envisionment of Klockhaus's Damage Report this week. A perfect companion to the aural majesty of the music, the video is a hypnotising mix of classic clips from 80s commercial ans promos. A perfect mix.
Another excellent clip from video editor extraordinaire Neros77 was released this week also. This man has once again made the perfect visual accompaniment to one of my favourite tracks released this year; Lazerhawk's Theme. Superlative work as always from Neros77, capturing the spirit and vision of this piece of music perfectly.
That does us for another week on Synthetix. Next week I'll be covering, amongst other releases, AKAHandsDown and Sello RekT, so stay tuned for more music to keep you firmly stuck in the 80s, right where you want to be!

Synthetix Weekend Update
It's been another very active week in the 80s inspired synth scene with lots of great new releases from both established and new artists. Let's get rockin with some of my favourites from the past week.
A new work in progress from Matt Creamer is certainly promising much. This currently instrumental piece is perfectly written synth disco, with shades of italo, and a slight Alpha Boy edge to the arrangements. Whether it remains an instrumental or not this is one kick arse tune.
Well established synth raconteur 80s Stallone keep producing major pieces of delight and his latest is Summer Lovers. A jubilant and dazzling journey into glorious summer haze. The 80s Stallone magic is weaved throughout this beautiful track.
Quasars' side project Sgreyes came out with another 80s disco gem this week with Varadero. Smooth as silk and twice as luxurious the music this edit builds brilliantly, and I'm hoping a full length release is in offing from Sgreyes, as I've loved everything I've heard thus far.
Le Cassette are proving on a very consistent basis that they're one the scene leaders in delivering authentic 80s synth pop experiences. Tokyo Blues winds things back and allows the vocals to a lot of the work. Full of emotion and charged with darkness this song is totally enrapturing,
One of my favourite new producers released another work of genius this week in Klockhaus' new Tinplate Ant venture. I love the fact that this new artist already has a signature sound after only four single releases. This is pure Klockhaus, and it's dreamlike 80s vibe is totally rockin experience.
Disco synth maestro Silenx has been very busy of late and his latest release Sun Express cements his position even further as one of the scene's leading producers. Perfectly built and delightfully engineered the music is fused with warmth and light. The flavours of summer keep on rockin throughout this
inspired track.
To finish of this week's weekend update we have a totally kick arse new video from diretor extraordinaire Neros77 and his latest vignette from Stallions. Stallions is a side project from Miami Nights 1984 and is more dreamwave in sound thant the tradition Miami Nights Outrun sond. This video
is cut to perfection and loaded with cheeky 80s wonder.
Be sure to pick up the full Stallions EP on Bandcamp here for more chilled out synth experiences.

Synthetix Weekend Update
Another week packed with great quality sounds from the 80s inspired synth scene has made for an action packed Weekend Update.
Elite maestro Richi Summers came to my attention this week with his supremely amazing song: Gladiators of Love. A superb mix of space italo disco complete with a robotic vocal track. Special mention must go to the disco hi-hats in this, totally rockin.
Some exciting new Camille R surface this week too, a very ambient synthstrumnetal piece entitled $tilknocks. I'm unsure as to whether this is a teaser or experimental compostion. Either way it's a beautiful work from one of my favourite artists.
Synthpop master Mirror Kisses released the powerfully epic Takeover this week. A really deep composition of gorgeous 80s sounds and the best bassline I've heard for a long time. Hoping for a 5-6 minute extended mix of this at some stage.
Klockhaus has been spoiling us with some incredible music of late and this is magnified tenfold in his latest track Brainchild. The swell of the melodies and the soundscape he creates in this is utterly gorgeous. Incredible music.
Another gifted producer, Thomas Barrandon, gave us a beautifully crafted piece of space synth wonder with his latest Absolute Magnitude. An interstellar delight that begins with the perfect intro and then builds and builds into a work of great majesty. An epic journey to say the least.
The final piece in this week's Weekend Update continues our journey through the cosmos with Dynatron's Space Operator. Peppered with samples from astronauts the music is packed with drama and spatial orbits around heavenly bodies. Very classy space synth indeeed.
Thanks for sharing another Weekend Update with me on Synthetix. Next week has some surprises in store as well a new EP release from Tommy and my long overdue review of Miami Nights 1984's most recent album. Till then, keep on rockin!
